Within the global campaign “16 days to eliminate violence against women’’. The Syrian women association in the cooperation with women office in the local council of Idlib. Launched an interactive session about violence against women titled “You are the hope”
The session submitted by the human rights activist Wedad Rahal. And attended by 50 women. The session included early marriage risks performance as it is one of the violations against women forms. Through implementing a short story in the puppet theater. Then another performance started. The second showed the negative effect of early marriage on women and society as a whole. Besides presenting photos of girls exposed to violence. And finally a discussion between the audience about the legal situation of these violations.
The Syrian women association founded in March 2018. Active in Idlib southern suburbs in order to empower and support women in all sectors.
