In Salqen city, in west Idlib rural, the change-makers center held a discussion workshop with local female actors from a diverse background. The workshop grappled with the “conflict resolution skills” at various levels, whether local, social, or political. Sua’ad Al-Aswad, the center manager, explained that the objective of conducting this session derives from the local female capacity of high purpose. The sessions aimed to raise female awareness about diverse socio-economic and political subjects underscoring the importance to address and abolish all sorts of stereotypes and gender mainstreaming in their society.

The manager explains that they strive to engage with and increase women participation quota in the higher level of legislative chambers. The attainment of this objective by providing local stockholders with training and communication channels to which they can use to increase their role and echo their concerns and opinion.  

The session hosted D.Basma Kodimati, a member at the negotiation committee who explained to the participants how the importance of women’s role and how to have an active presence and role wherever they are.

The training is part of a series of training sessions that the organization is holding, which will include peace awareness and building, election, and others.
